Hosting School : Parsons Lighting Design – membership open to all NYC Design Schools

 

Student Member:

Shall be registered full-time in a college or university for study toward a degree in engineering, science, fine arts, architecture, interior design or other related fields, or enrolled full-time in an accredited two year technical school whose curriculum is related to illumination. A Student shall be entitled to all current privileges and benefits, but shall not have the right to vote or to hold elective office, except in a Student Chapter.  

1st Year Student Membership Fee: covered by Enterprise Lighting Sales

2nd Year Student Membership Fee: $25 – sponsored by the IESNYC Section while you are enrolled as a student

(Full Non-Student Member Dues: $175/year)

Student Chapter Member Activities:

You are encouraged to work on a committee to organize and participate in the in following activities:

Office and Factory Visits

Mock Interviews

Networking opportunities with the local and national lighting community

Study the lighting of real projects, with participation of the lighting designer / or architect. Learn lessons through the experiences of others. Site visits. Get to know important / interesting lighting projects.

Walking Tours of NYC - see what members of the IESNYC have designed.

Museum / Gallery Trips to View

Exhibits dealing with light
