This intermediate seminar was prepared in partnership with the Lighting Controls Association, a consortium of lighting control manufacturers (administered by NEMA) dedicated to public education about lighting controls.

At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify lighting control strategies based on application needs
  • Design and commission a lighting control system
  • Analyze your control solutions in order to satisfy energy code standards
  • Choose appropriate lighting control equipment for your project

PRESENTER
Charles (Chuck) Cameron is the controls manager for SDA where he helps specifiers, distributors and contractors provide effective, easy to install, efficient lighting controls. Prior to joining SDA, he spent sixteen years as a lighting design consultant. His lighting designs have enhanced the environments of landmarks, museums, restaurants, galleries, residences, infrastructure and public spaces. In addition, he teaches at the New York School of Interior Design in the MPS in Interior Lighting Design program. Cameron served as the 89th president of the IESNYC from 2011–2013. He is also a founding director of the Building Energy Exchange (BEEx) where he continues to support their mission of improving the efficiency of the built environment.
