Apply NOW for Guiding Lights Circle Mentorship 2026

Application Deadline: August 21, 2026

The Guiding Lights Circle is taking applications for its third cycle, and the bar is set. Last year, 13 mentor-mentee pairs spent 9 months in monthly one-on-one conversations, generating substantial buzz. The program matches emerging lighting professionals (designers, manufacturers, and reps alike) with experienced IESNYC members. They enjoyed the kind of in-person, candid, and sustained conversation that's hard to find in today’s workplace.

The 2026–27 mentorship program will begin in September and conclude in June 2027. EPs, junior professionals, and experienced mentors are all encouraged to apply.

Need more details? The 2025–26 Guiding Lights Wrapup covers who took part, how pairing works, and what the group heard from guest speakers. This most-recent program created so much excitement that one mentor-mentee friendship was featured in designing lighting magazine. See Guiding Lights Circle: A Conversation that Didn’t End, where Derek Porter and Kristian Rodriguez share the growth and connection they gained.
