OHNY @ Night with the IESNYC Showcased 12 Projects from Lumen Award-Winning Lighting Designers

From castles to public spaces to towers, OHNY @ Night with the IESNYC is a series that showcases the work of Lumen Award-Winning Lighting Designers. This year, 12 projects were featured on October 22. This series presents an opportunity for the public to learn about lighting projects that enhance our built environment. The IESNYC is pleased to partner with OHNY during the 20th anniversary of OHNY Weekend, New York City’s largest celebration of architecture, design, and culture. 

In honor of OHNY @ Night with the IESNYC, and their participation in the series, the spire of One Vanderbilt was lit in yellow, one of the colors of the IESNYC logo.

IESNYC Members graciously volunteered their time to introduce every lighting designer in the series: Central Park’s Belvedere Castle, Naumberg Bandshell, and the Dairy Visitor Center - Zachary Pearson (Member of the IESNYC Board of Managers, FMSP);  Ford Foundation’s Atrium – Melissa Goren (Member the IESNYC Board of Managers, MG Engineering); Little Island – Brigid Hardiman (Member of the IESNYC Board of Managers, Lightcraft); The Morgan Library Garden – Randy Sabedra (Member of the IESNYC Board, RS Lighting Design); Moynihan Train Hall – Bill Maiman ((Co-Chair History Committee, William L. Maiman Consulting); The New York Times - Shaun Fillion (Board Advisor, Student Lighting Competition, RAB/NYSID); NYPL Performing Arts Lou Reed Exhibit – Shoshanna Segal (IESNYC Vice President, Hartranft Lighting); One Vanderbilt – Linda G. Miller (Communications & Marketing); St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - Philip Cialdella (Member of the IESNYC Board, Light Abilities); Trinity Church – Jess Kaller  (Member of the IESNYC Board of Managers, Jess Kaller Design (JKD); The Waterline Club – Megan Carroll (IESNYC President, Lighting Services, Inc.); Waterline Square Park – Jim Toole (Selux).
