Where
Building Energy Exchange
31 Chambers Street, Suite 609

Overview

Join Building Energy Exchange for a four-part training series on lighting retrofits: Green Light. From energy code and regulation consideration and selection of LED and controls technology, to the development of the right retrofit strategy – the Green Lightseries provides building industry stakeholders the information they need to execute successful lighting retrofits.

Lighting retrofits are one of the most cost effective means of improving occupant experience and increasing asset value while reducing operating costs. Recent and dramatic improvements in LED technology, coupled with innovative control systems, make meeting – or even exceeding – our recently tightened energy codes a short payback exercise in the vast majority of buildings. The concise Green Light series provides lighting retrofit guidance in four 90-minute modules.

The courses include:

Lighting Codes & Regulations | Wednesday, February 20, 9:00am – 11:00am
A survey of the lighting requirements of NYC and NYS energy codes, as well as local laws and regulations that impact lighting systems, including an overview of the Greener, Greater Buildings Plan. This program is available for 2 AIA LUs

LED Lighting – Evaluation & Selection | Friday, February 22, 9:00am – 10:30am
Guidance on the operation and selection of LED luminaires, with special focus on light output efficacy, color, and expected life, as well as replacement strategies. This program is available for 1.5 AIA LUs

Advanced Controls – Types & Functions | Friday, February 22, 11:00am – 12:30pm
