Jeffrey Hoenig Appreciation Day
On June 10, 2021, during the last Board of Managers meeting he chaired as president of the IESNYC, Mike Barr awarded his final Presidential Proclamation to Board Manager Jeffrey Hoenig. “I proclaim today has Jeffrey Hoenig Appreciation Day and I encourage all IESNYC members to recognize Jeff as an IESNYC Section Champion,” says Barr.
Jeffrey has served on the Education Committee for over ten years, first as a committee member, and then co-chair, chair, and board liaison.
“I'm proud of the consistent excellence of the Section's educational programming and outreach,” says Hoenig. “On a personal level, ‘Fundamentals of Lighting’ has been my baby. It was the program that got me started with the Section, and I’ve helped it grow fourfold and continues to be in demand. I'm so appreciative to be recognized by this Proclamation.”
Jeffrey has had to step down from the Board as he and his growing young family have moved to the DC area where he continues to work in design. His contributions to the Section and the Society are many and are noted in the Proclamation. He has shown great dedication and pride in achieving the goals of the section.
Jeffrey is the fifth recipient of the Presidential Proclamation. Past recipients are Megan Carroll, Rinkinson Gohel, Brigid Hardiman, and Pete Jacobson.
