Meet Two New Members of the IESNYC Board of Managers
The IESNYC welcomes lighting designer Nathalie Faubert (above left) and Attila Uysal (above right) to our Board of Managers. Attila is also the Section’s new Treasurer.
Nathalie Faubert is currently a senior associate at CBBLD. She has been there for 20 years. She also served as an adjunct professor of lighting at NYSID for the past eight. In 2015, she saw her dream come to life with the founding of Moonlighting. This annual event exhibits the afterhours talents of New York City lighting professionals. With her years of experience as a lightning practitioner, educator, and community event planner, the BOM looks forward to working with her. ‘I am excited to join the IESNYC Board of Managers,” says Faubert, “and am looking forward to collaborating with this dynamic group of people who care about the lighting industry and the people who work in it.”
Attila Uysal has been practicing lighting design for close to 30 years and currently a principal at Lumen Architecture. In addition, he teaches lighting design at Parsons and NYSID. He enjoys working on complex architectural interior and exterior projects and professes to be a detail oriented and financially savvy person – which makes him an excellent addition. “I have always liked the IESNYC because of its inclusiveness and the way engineers, designers, and manufacturers participate to make us a stronger Section and industry,'' says Uysal. “After going deep into COVID it’s time for me to explore, give back, and become more social again.”
