As the new North American Ambassador for American Women in Lighting (WIL) Francesca Bastianini, Principal of Sighte Studio and the President of DLFNY, invites you to attend Women in Lighting’s (WIL) launch event on November 20th at FormaLighting. This event also marks the first WIL event to be held in the US and represents a new collaborative partnership between Women in Lighting (#WIL) and Women in Lighting + Design (#WILD).

This event is an opportunity to learn from professional videographers how to conduct, record, edit, and upload their own personal stories on to the WIL digital platform. Francesca will be conducting interviews with three leading women in architectural lighting.

By hosting an event where we are screening and conducting live tapings of interviews, we hope to share both technical knowledge that will allow others to up be able to upload their own interviews but also grow the archive of strength and experience from all the women who currently practice in the field.” —Francesca Bastianini

The event also includes opening remarks by Meredith Goodwin, Northeast Sales Director - FormaLighting, an introductory video from Light Collective founders Sharon Stammers and Martin Lupton, followed by the US premiere of MoMA’s Amy Nelson's interview held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where she works.
