BEEx Gallery Talk: Convenience and Flexibility in Lighting Systems
Join the Building Energy Exchange for their new Gallery Talk series, which marries technical presentations from industry experts with the interactive content of our Lighting the Future advanced lighting exhibit. These sessions will guide attendees on configuring, selecting and installing the most advanced lighting, shading, and control systems available, and how those systems can maximized convenience, savings, and flexibility
Today's lighting control systems feature myriad controls, including real-time scheduling, occupancy and daylight response, and automated shading. These features are configured to minimize energy use while meeting occupant needs in the space. The talk will outline the components of digital systems, discuss how they interact with fixtures and shades, and discuss how intuitive interfaces and growing flexibility allow for changes and improvements to the space.
This is the second in our four-part Gallery Talk series which will utilize our Lighting the Future interactive exhibit as a classroom. The sessions will also draw lessons and data from our Living Lab Demonstration Project, a joint program with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab which deploys and monitors advanced lighting and shading systems in working offices to document the components and processes that lead to successful lighting and shading retrofits.
