The mission of the IESNYC Illuminating Equity task force is to collaborate with the Equity in Lighting (EIL) initiative on section education, programming, membership, and scholarships to cultivate opportunity and allyship without regard to age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or ability status within our community. New York City Lighting Council

The New York City Lighting Council serves as an information source and champion for issues involving the use of lighting in and about the New York Cityscape. The Council provides web-based resources (Lighting311.org) for the public, and serves as a forum and reference for lighting professionals.
